Kaiden Cookes late goal wasn't enough, as the Valliant youthful Wingmakers fall 1-2 against Connahs Quay Nomads.
Goals from Harry Franklin and Callum Morris was enough for the visitors, despite the 90th minute goal from the academy graduate.
Jamie Reed was forced into one change from last time out against Haverfordwest County. Joe Palmer due to injury dropped out and Adam Davies returned.
The Wingmakers were the first to have a sniff at goal. Beau Cornish with some lovely play found Mikey Burke. But the link up play was defended well by the visitors and went out for a corner.
However, four minutes later it would be the Nomads who would lead. Lewis Dutton with a fumble, which was capitalised on by Franklin who grabbed his second league goal of the season.
The goal then gave the visitors the urge to attack, but the Bus held firm. In the 17th minute, Paulo Mendes went 1 on 1 with Dutton, who saved well to stop the 29 year old.
The Bus then went the other way, and almost equalised. Owen Payne's delightful ball in behind to Jake Eyre. But the last touch was just missing.
Finn Savage then was nearly on the scoresheet. This time a mistake at the back by the Nomads defence allowed the Academy graduate through. But Andy Firth did just enough to save the visitors their blushes.
Five minutes later Reward Mwakona produced a great block against Mike Willde. The multiple JD Cymru League golden boot winner broke free and was in site of goal.
Eyre came close again, this time the crossbar stopping a potential goal of the season. A beautiful struck volley thundered off the crossbar, bounced near the line, but somehow didn't go in.
The second half nearly saw the visitors reconstruct their goal from the match earlier this year. But Wilde this time was unable to finish off some quick play.
There wasn't a lot of action until the 62nd minute, when a penalty was given to the visitors. Davies was alleged to have blocked the ball with his hand. Morris stepped up and slotted home for the second.
However, the second goal gave the Wingmakers another gear. Most notably through Cooke. The academy star is showing his raw potential. Firstly through a great break, which saw him cut inside John Disney, and was only denied by the former Rangers goalkeeper Firth.
Cooke did get his goal though in the 90th minute. A lovely cross from Savage found the attacker at the back post, who calmly slotted his first Wingmakers goal.
Despite our best efforts we werent able to pull off the late comeback. However, plenty of positives shown by Jamie Reeds young side, and we go again a week Sunday as we travel down to Penybont for a 2:30 pm kick off.
