Manager gives his thoughts are progress into the third round

Another professional performance tonight with a win and progression in a another cup competition?

M.A. “Yes good to get through and allow players to get minutes and opportunities on the pitch.

I thought we kept the ball very well in the end and had to break them down to earn the win.”

We finished the game once again with 11 academy graduates that have been involved some where in the academy process?

M.A. “Excellent again from all the coaches in the academy that develop these lads at what ever age they come in.
I know they are dedicated and keen for the lads to get opportunities after their hard work.

For the lads themselves being part of the squad is the aim for them and seeing the likes of George, Oli, Kaiden, Tyler and Sam Baker who are regulars shows that playing in the first team can be there if you work hard, which they all did tonight”

Have to mention Jake Eyre, with a frustrating time out for him but tonight we see him with a first half hat trick and more minutes under his belt?

M.A. “Obviously a pleasing night for him and all of us to see. He was very energetic, positive on the ball and real goal threat.

For him to get a hat trick is a buzz for everyone at the club and we hope to get him more minutes as soon as possible, as I thought he led the lads well tonight also”

A quick turn around as we make the trip to Llandudno in the league on Friday night, hopefully some fresh legs with you being able to rest some of the squad against Hawarden?

M.A. “Yes a difficult place to go, but tonight allowed a few to be fresher for Friday. We knew the month was busy, but glad to go again.
