U10's Travel Away To Cefn Druids

A cold night at The Rock saw the young makers struggle to make it 2 wins in a row.

After a positive start to the game, where Airbus enjoyed the majority of the possession we were caught on the break twice by Cefn who were very direct in their attack. Two clinical finishes left us down at the end of the first period.

Into the second period we changed our system and game plan. Moving to a more attacking formation and we continued to dominate possession. We got our rewards with fantastically struck free kick by Nataniel Rakowiecki from the touchline, which flew into the top corner. Unfortunately a few lapses in concentration saw Cefn get 2 more in quick succession.

The third period and Airbus pushed to attempt to get back in the game. We had many chances, most denied by some excellent acrobatic saves from the Druids goalkeeper. Nevertheless we kept testing him and managed to score 2, a left footed strike by Caiden Baker Williams and Stanley Horrocks slotted home from a Ben Roberts cross.

With the score close we continued to play higher up the pitch with a high press. This meant at times we were left exposed at the back and Druids took full advantage scoring 2 late goals.
