On a glorious autumn morning, Airbus UK Broughton Girls U15 delivered an outstanding performance to secure an emphatic 8-0 victory over Aston Park Rangers Girls U15 in the NEWGL U16 League Cup.

After taking a deserved two-goal lead into the break, Airbus produced a clinical second-half display, adding a further six goals while keeping their opponents at bay to record an impressive clean sheet.

From the opening whistle, Airbus looked sharp and intent on attacking. Isabelle was the first to threaten, firing narrowly over the crossbar after ten minutes, before Macey rattled the woodwork moments later. Amelia then tested the Aston goalkeeper with a powerful effort as the home side continued to push forward in search of the opener.

The breakthrough finally arrived in the 18th minute when Amelia's determination inside the penalty area paid off. Refusing to give up on a loose ball, she forced it beyond the goalkeeper to give Airbus a deserved lead. Just five minutes later, Isabelle doubled the advantage in style, collecting possession on the edge of the box before driving forward and delicately chipping the advancing goalkeeper to make it 2-0 at half-time.

Airbus emerged from the interval with renewed energy and quickly put the game beyond doubt. Amelia grabbed her second goal of the match in the 49th minute after good work from Indi. Seven minutes later, Isabelle turned provider, threading a perfectly weighted pass through to Ellie-May, who calmly finished to make it 4-0. Ellie-May struck again shortly afterwards, converting from a Maise E assist to extend the lead to five.

The goals continued to flow as Airbus showcased their attacking quality. Macey got on the scoresheet following another excellent assist from Isabelle before Isabelle herself produced one of the moments of the match, embarking on a superb solo run from halfway down the right wing before driving into the box and finishing confidently for Airbus' seventh goal.

There was still time for Ellie-May to complete a well-deserved hat-trick. In the closing stages, Isabelle's effort cannoned back off the crossbar and Ellie-May reacted quickest to finish and cap a superb team performance at 8-0.

While the attacking players rightly attracted attention, Airbus were equally impressive defensively. Laila earned a clean sheet against her former club, protected by a disciplined and organised defensive unit that limited Aston's opportunities throughout the match.

A special mention goes to Esme, who was named Airbus Player of the Match after an excellent display at left-back. Calm in possession and composed defensively, she was outstanding from start to finish.

Aston Park coaches nominated Emily as their opposition Player of the Match, having battled hard at right-back throughout the contest and looking to support attacks whenever the opportunity arose.
