Airbus UK Broughton came out on top in a five-goal encounter against Holywell Town, with goals from Oli Calland, Jordan Evans and George Peers securing the victory despite a late penalty from Florian Yonsian setting up a tense finish.

Holywell started brightly, with a chance from a throw-in in the sixth minute seeing an effort hooked over the bar. Yonsian then dragged a shot wide two minutes later as both sides looked to make an early breakthrough.

In the 15th minute, a dangerous corner from Jordan Evans caused chaos in the box, with efforts from Oli Lanceley and Brandon Diau were blocked and the ball was eventually gathered by Alex Swindell. However, just moments later, Holywell struck. A ball in from the right by Caio Hughes was met perfectly by Owen Davies, who timed his header brilliantly to find the back of the net.

Airbus responded well and found their equaliser in the 26th minute. Nath Williams long throw was cleared by Holywell, which dropped to Jordan Evans, who managed to get a toe to the ball and direct it into the path of Oli Calland, who made no mistake with a sweet strike into the bottom corner.

The Wingmakers continued to apply pressure, with George Peers and Kaiden Cooke both going close before Airbus took the lead in the 35th minute. Sam Rickett's throw-in was flicked on by Oli Lanceley, with George Peers picking up the ball before playing in Jordan Evans, who finished confidently past Swindell to put Airbus ahead.

Jordan Evans nearly added another just before half-time, seeing his effort from the edge of the box pushed wide by Swindell after Diau had done well to keep the attack alive.

Airbus continued to threaten after the break, with Jordan Evans' dangerous cross nearly catching Swindell out in the 56th minute, forcing the goalkeeper to tip the ball over the bar. Three minutes later, Lanceley was played through, but Swindell came off his line to collect, with the pair colliding in the process.

Evans then beat the offside trap in the 60th minute, but Swindell stood firm to block his near-post effort.

Airbus made a double substitution in the 66th minute, with Joe Palmer and Jake Roberts coming on for Sean Moscrop and Oli Lanceley.

Holywell had a golden opportunity to equalise in the 69th minute when Owen Davies found himself through on goal, but he sent his effort over the bar.

Calland then produced a lovely cross field ball to find Evans, who cut inside before seeing his shot blocked for a corner. However, Airbus extended their advantage in the 72nd minute.

Kaiden Cooke was fouled inside the penalty area and the referee pointed to the spot. George Peers stepped up to take the resulting spot kick, sending Swindell the wrong way to make it 3-1 and record his 17th goal of the Season.

Holywell looked to respond, but Jack Sconce blazed a set-piece over the bar in the 75th minute. A minute later, Jordan Evans played George Peers through on the overlap, but his effort was saved by Swindell.

Airbus made another double change in the 81st minute, with Mason Blackwell-Jones and Jack Parry replacing George Peers and Kaiden Cooke.

Caio Hughes fired across goal from the left of the box in the 87th minute, with his effort going out for a corner as Holywell searched for a way back into the game.

The visitors were handed a lifeline in the 90th minute when a handball by Palmer resulted in a penalty. Yonsian stepped up and blasted the ball straight down the middle to reduce the deficit to 3-2.

Despite the late goal, Airbus held on to secure an important victory and record their 5th consecutive win in the league.
