Airbus Reserves secured an impressive 5–0 victory away to Bala Town U21s this afternoon, although the scoreline perhaps doesn’t tell the full story of a performance that could have been even more convincing.

Airbus controlled large periods of the game and created a bag full of chances, with opportunities coming throughout the match. Despite the number of chances created, there were periods where the team could have played better and been more clinical in front of goal.

However, the biggest positive is that the group continues to create a high volume of opportunities. The finishing will come, but consistently putting ourselves in positions to score is an excellent foundation to build on.

The second goal just before half-time gave Airbus a deserved cushion, before a strong start to the second half saw the visitors add three more goals and take complete control of the contest.

A 5–0 away win is always something to be pleased with, but there is still plenty for this young group to improve on.

We know we have played better, and we know we can be more clinical, but the fact that we are creating so many chances and continuing to find the back of the net is hugely positive.

Another clean sheet, five goals and another valuable experience for a young Airbus Reserves side.

Player of the Week – Harry Henderson
Harry Henderson takes this week’s Player of the Week award.

Harry has been excellent over the last few weeks, both in training and in matches, and thoroughly deserves the recognition.

A great leader who reads the game extremely well, Harry has consistently shown a good understanding of what is happening around him and has been an important influence on the group.

His performance today was another example of that, with Harry providing the assist for Kacper Bury’s 68th-minute goal to round off another strong display.
