Under 7’s
An eventful morning today as Airbus Under 7s pre academy hosted a strong Rhos team. Rhos came to play and were competitive from the off.
We were guilty of being a bit slow out the blocks at times but at the same time were unlucky in front of goal.
The boys rallied towards the end and played the type of football we expect and want to see dominating down the stretch.
Player of the match
Benni Pennington
Benni was picked out for the individual award, a net buster of a shot that would still be rising now if there was no roof on the goal!
Under 8's
Airbus Under 8s travelled to the historic Manchester United Cliff training ground for what was a memorable tournament experience.
The level of opposition was exceptional throughout. The boys faced Manchester United and Brentford, alongside strong and well-established EFL academies in Coventry City, Reading and Shrewsbury Town.
A key challenge on the day was adapting to larger pitches and bigger goals—something our group are not used to, but the opposition clearly were. This tested the boys physically and tactically, particularly in terms of spacing, decision-making, and defensive organisation across bigger areas.
Despite being on the wrong end of some results, the boys never looked out of place. They showed real bravery on the ball, continued to try and play, and competed well in all moments of the game.
Out of possession, the effort and attitude were excellent. The players tracked back, worked for each other, and showed resilience against high-quality attacks.
Most importantly, the boys represented Airbus superbly—showing great attitude, effort, and togetherness throughout the day.
While the results may not reflect it, this was a hugely valuable experience. Competing against top academy opposition in a different format will accelerate their development, and with more exposure to this level and environment, they will undoubtedly continue to improve.
Under 9's
The Under 9’s travelled to Newtown on Saturday morning for a 7v7 fixture.
They started with good attacking mindsets and shown they were ready to punish any mistakes from minute 1.
The game followed with us scoring goal after goal and it never stopped and shown we had too much quality for them to match us.
Halftime came and they swapped their team completely meaning they had fresh legs coming on and they started well and it slowed us down a little. Around 5 minutes in we were back to scoring plenty of goals and finished the second half scoring just as many.
Overall I was made up to see the lads scoring goals and trying new things to raise thei confidence in games and also showcase their ability even more and even so a massive shout to Theo Sarath for scoring possibly the best goal I’ve ever seen in junior football with a strike from our own half which smashed the crossbar and went over the line.

The Under 10’s Travelled to Newtown on Saturday morning. Playing 9v9 for the 1st time as a team and only having one sun we knew it was going to be a difficult match against a strong Newtown team with plenty of subs to rotate round for the bigger pitch and longer match time.
The first 20 minutes of the game was very even with just a Ralph goal from a right angle separating the teams.
Into the 2nd 1/4 and the lads started to play some excellent football, using the space and extra men to link up and find create some good chances. A Ralph 1v1 doubled our lead, Ronnie with a similar finish made it 3 and Charlie HS with a poachers finish in the box to make it 4.
Into the 3rd 1/4 and the lads continued to dominate but couldn’t add the to the score. Excellent defending and a fantastic save from Henry kept the score healthy.
Into the last 20 minutes and the lads with only having 1 sub started to tire. This resulted in Newtown getting a couple of goals to make the game the interesting. However the lads dug deep and seen put the game.
Overall I was made up with the performance and showed how good of a team we are on the ball and off the ball, well done lads.

Under 11's
The Under 11’s travelled to Newtown on Saturday morning to play a 9v9 fixture.
They started the game slow and Newtown Punished with some quick goals to make it 3-0 at the end of 1/4 one.
Into the 2nd 20 minutes and the Airbus lads responded well, scoring a goal which was harshly ruled out of offside before Dul scored. Before the end of the quarter Newtown added two more to make it 5-1.
Into the 3rd quarter and Airbus had started to take control of the game, scoring a 2nd from a great goal from Dul again and hitting the post. Newtown however added 2 more before the end of the 1/4 to make it 7-2.
The aim for the lads was to win the last 1/4. They came out firing and scored 3 goals quickly to make the score 7-5. In the lad 5 minutes the lads also had another 2 goals correctly ruled out for offside but the lads continued pushing for more goals.
Overall a mixed performance from the Under 11’s. Slow start and some mistakes at the back let Newtown take a big lead but great resilience shown and some good football to get back into the game. Well done lads. Shout out to Dylan Rowe for scoring all 5 goals.

Flint Town Under 12s 1 – 0 Airbus Under 12s
Airbus Under 12s travelled away to Flint for their first game in the National League with an early kick-off in cold and windy conditions. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t our day. Despite creating several clear chances and hitting both the post and the crossbar, along with a goal-line clearance, the ball simply refused to go in. Our unbeaten run of 13 games came to an end, with our first loss since October 12th. As in football, every run eventually comes to an end.
First Half
Playing against the wind, we expected Flint to rely on their direct football and long balls forward. The boys dealt with this very well, stopping their approach effectively. Flint did not manage a single shot on target, and Shay had a very quiet half in goal. At the other end, we created at least three clear chances and were unlucky not to score, hitting the post and seeing Flint clear their lines from some very promising situations. The half ended 0–0.
Second Half
We started the second half a little slow and rushed some of our passes. The game became more aerial, with neither team able to fully control possession. With seven minutes remaining, Flint scored from a corner when the second ball fell kindly to one of their players in the box. We pushed hard to get back into the game, hitting the crossbar and sending another effort just centimetres wide before the final whistle.
Overall
We cannot fault the boys’ effort. Now is the time to experience the disappointment of defeat and respond like a strong team. We have noticed that every team raises their level against us because they know how good this group is. We will regroup, work hard in training this week, and come back ready and determined for our next game on Sunday.
Player of the Match
Lucas Lovell
A very strong performance from Lucas. He was solid defensively, never beaten in individual duels, and showed great effort throughout the game.

Flint Town Under 13s - 1-2 Airbus Under 13s
Airbus Under 13s travelled to Flint for the 11am ko with our first National League fixture this Sunday morning.
We set up for our first 9v9 fixture for many weeks 2 - 4 - 2 playing against the wind. For the first 20 mins our defensive unit controlled the Flint tactics playing long at every opportunity. We struggled with our passing game with poor detail but still managed created a few chances of which we failed to take. In the 29th minute another long ball into our box caused mayhem and ended up deflected into our net.
HT 1-0
In the 2nd period we changed to a 3-1-3-1 formation and instantly took control of the game. In the 48th min a perfectly timed run from Freddie Rawson set up Peter Satchell to fire home with pace 1-1.
With Airbus on top we pressed for a winner. Flint lost their discipline with 2 bookings and a sending off.
Airbus pressed further in the 68th minute winning a corner. From the quality corner from William the front post runners left a space for Mynor Evans to time his run perfectly at the back post to head home the winner.
FT 1-2
Overall a tough physical match in difficult conditions the squad kept playing and applying their principles resulting in a well deserved win.
Player of the match
Peter Satchell
Peter controlled the midfield area throughout the match always looking to be the pivot in all phases of play.
Well done Peter and the whole Under 13s squad.
Under 14's
Airbus Under 14's 0 – 1 Flint Town Under 14's
We travelled to Flint on Sunday following a number of positive weeks in preparation for this fixture. The squad appeared confident and well prepared, and there was a strong belief that we could take something from the game.
From the outset, Flint applied high pressure, marking man.for man and making it difficult for us to play out from the back or establish any rhythm. After an early struggle, we adapted our build up play and began to find some success. Despite this improvement, clear chances remained limited, with only a few half chances created in the first half.
Just before the break, Flint threatened from a free kick. Although the initial effort was blocked by the wall, the ball was recycled into the box, leading to a close range attempt that was well saved by Alfie. The teams went into half time level at 0–0.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with limited attacking opportunities and a lack of the patience and composure shown in previous matches. The overall tempo of the game felt flat.
Midway through the second half, we conceded possession cheaply from a throw in. This was followed by poor defensive organisation in and around the penalty area. Flint’s number 8, who was influential throughout, drove through midfield, beating several players before squaring the ball for a simple finish. A quicker reaction defensively may have prevented the goal, but Flint took the lead at 1–0.
Late in the game, Flint were awarded a penalty following a foul in the box. The effort was struck to Alfie’s left, but he produced an excellent save to keep the scoreline at 1-0. Shortly after, the final whistle was blown.
Overall, it was a disappointing performance.
Player of the Match
Alfie Gibson
Alfie delivered an excellent performance in goal, making several key saves and keeping the scoreline to a single goal. Well done, Alfie.
Under 15's
Airbus Under 15's 3-1 Flint Town Under 15's
Airbus Under 15 took on Flint again after a late penalty last time the young wingmakers were seeking to win this time. With the squad stretched and u14s called up to support they played with only 11 players. Sticking to the club's principles a formation alteration did not phase the players and they started well taking the lead through Sam, scoring a well executed move. Ball being cut back to him and well struck nestling in the far corner. The Young wingmakers doubled the lead with a corner we talked about pre game, executing the move perfectly at the second attempt, swung in on the Goalkeeper with Lewis arriving to head home. The whole team were disciplined sticking to the game plan with the mid block and press triggers. They continued to carry out the plan although the fatigue began to tell on them. A corner to Flint and again the players executed the defensive corner to a tee countering quickly and before the Flint team could recover the ball was slide in for a tap home and 3 nil. Again the young wing makers fought on as a team sticking to the club principles. However after a number of failed clearances Flint pulled a goal back coupled with an injury to Aiden a adjustment to shape was required. They remained disciplined for the last 10 mins a man down to see out and manage the game fantasticly to see out a 3 - 1 win. Outstanding performance from every player despite the adverse conditions presented.
Player of the match
Sam Williams
A mature team performance and tough game to pick a man out. Sam however, his 1 v 1s team work and constant running has earned the title Man of the Match. Fantastic team performance and management of the game, well done all.
Under 16's
A frustrating day for the Under 16s at home v Flint Town Utd.
Flint set up in a low block in the first minutes and never really came out of it all match. To their credit they defended like tigers and in the first half Airbus were very wasteful with 4 excellent chances, hit the bar and the post and you start to believe that it isn't meant to be.
0-0 @ half time
2nd half was more of the same except that we got caught cold and the Flint player scored an absolute worldy from 25 yards out into the top corner with their 1st shot of the game.
The lads rallied and scored an excellent equaliser through Jack Davies from 30 yards out.
Excellent football played by usbto break down the low block, however with no less than 20 chances created to win the game overall - we just weren't clinical in the final phase this week - and the lads know that will have to improve going forwards.
Player of the week
Jack Davies
A solid performance in 2 positions by Jack - another great goal and maybe could have had one more, well done JD

Airbus v Caernarfon
Sunday saw the final time the U19’s faced Caernarfon this season at the Hollingsworth Group stadium
First half started and Airbus dominated the majority of the ball creating chance after chance early on however we were unable to score. This was the theme of the game. Our visitors scored off a corner as we fell asleep neglecting to mark our runners. Then again soon after from a needless free kick on the halfway line we failed to clear our lines and the opposition sharpest to the ball finished their chance. HT 2-0 Caernarfon
Second half carried on the same as Airbus controlled the majority of the ball but had no teeth in the final third. Missing a penalty and hitting the bar twice it looked like we could be there all day without success. To save our blushes in the 96’ we grab a consolation goal. Final score 2-1 Caernarfon
Player of the week
Louis Bebbington
Louis is a real leader on and off the pitch and played like the only one who really cared today. Making his jobs look easy and leading from the back like a true leader, well done Bebb
