Match 2: Airbus 1–1 TNS
A competitive match saw Airbus take the lead through Lyle, who drove through midfield and finished low into the corner. TNS equalised after a scrappy goal, but Airbus held firm. Despite dominating in attack, Airbus couldn't find a winner and were indebted to Dewi in goal who made a couple of crucial saves
Goal: Lyle
Highlight: Dewi's instinctive stops
Match 3: Airbus 2–2 Flint
This match was full of energy and intensity. Lyle opened the scoring again, and Albert added a brilliant second by pressing high, winning the ball back, and finishing emphatically in a one-on-one. Flint responded with two goals, but Airbus showed resilience to hold on.
Goals: Lyle, Albert

Impressive in attack and defence.
Well done, Airbus Under 8's – a brilliant day of football!
Under 9's
Airbus Academy Under 9's took part in the FAW Festival over the weekend, playing six games against North Wales academies and the North Wales Regional Girls Under 11s.
The boys played some excellent football throughout the day, winning four of their six matches. Despite a couple of long breaks between games leading to two defeats, the overall performance was very pleasing.
Well done to all the players and coaches for representing the academy so well!

Under 10's
After winning the last national festival the Under 10’s were hoping for the same performance levels.
Match 1. FAW Girls
1st game was vs FAW girls, Airbus did well in controlling the game and scoring some great goals to secure their 1st 3 points of the day.
Match 2. TNS
In a closely thought game TNS managed to get the 3 points in a 1-0 defeat for the wingmakers.
Match 3. Flint Town
Airbus got back on track with a 1-0 win. Dominating the game and creating enough chances to win by more goals.
Match 4. Newtown
Airbus were extremely unlucky in this game, taking the lead through a great first time strike from Harvey with his right foot. However a 1 in a million own goal and a goal of the tournament contender from Newtown meant that missed chances cost Airbus the points in a 2-1 defeat.
Match 5. Connah's Quay Nomads
Normally our toughest game in the FAW programme, and the teams were both very evenly matched, with a 1-1 draw being a fair result, Henry scoring the opener with a clever strike on the edge of the box before Connah's Quay scoring an excellent equaliser.
Match 6. Caernarfon
Caernarfon opened the scoring in the 1st minute from a quick throw in. Airbus then dominated a large part of the game, bringing out some top saves from the Caernarfon keeper. Harry Jarvis left foot rocket into the top corner with 2 minutes to go meant another 1-1 draw.
Overall a mixed day, although some of the results could have been better, on the pitch the lads looked confident throughout and created enough chances to win more of the games.

Under 11's
The team made a strong start to the Airbus Tournament, beginning the day with real intensity and confidence. We moved the ball quickly, dominated possession, and created a host of chances early on. Our attacking play was fluid and dynamic, with plenty of positives to take from the way we built through the thirds and tested opposition defences.
As the tournament went on, however, our defensive sharpness started to dip slightly. A few lapses in concentration and a lack of aggression off the ball allowed opponents to capitalise, and we conceded some sloppy goals that ultimately affected our results.
Despite that, there were plenty of encouraging signs — particularly in how we attacked and how many goals we scored throughout the day. The creativity and movement in the final third were excellent, and it’s clear that when we’re switched on defensively, we’re a very difficult side to play against.
Overall, it was a day full of positives with valuable lessons to take forward. The next step for us is to maintain that same intensity and discipline off the ball for the full duration of each game during the tournament.

Airbus Under 12 0-4 Wrexham AFC Academy Under 12
Today we welcomed Wrexham Academy Under 12s to the Hollingsworth Stadium for what proved to be an excellent test for our boys. The final score line was quite harsh and didn’t truly reflect the balance of the game.
First Half
We started slowly and seemed a little nervous, which unfortunately led to conceding two quick goals in the opening ten minutes. After that, the boys settled down, began to grow into the game, and started competing well. We managed to control good spells of possession and created a couple of decent chances, but luck wasn’t on our side in front of goal. We went into halftime trailing 2–0.
Second Half
We came out after the break with much more composure and intent, pushing to get back into the match. However, Wrexham managed to score a third early in the half. Despite that, we kept our heads up and competed strongly, matching them for long periods. With only a few minutes left, a Wrexham cross took an unlucky bounce and ended up in our net to make it 4–0.
Looking back, there wasn’t a huge gap between the two teams. The boys worked incredibly hard, and on another day, we could easily have come away with a different result.

Arlo made a big impact after coming on winning most of his duels, showing great energy, and playing with real positivity.
Under 13's
Airbus Academy Under 13's 1-2 Saughall 14s
Airbus Under 13's hosted a strong Saughall team on the grass pitch.
Playing 11v11 first time in a few months Airbus started off strong playing at pace but didn’t manage to take any of our opportunities created.
Saughall were a physical organised team playing 11v11 each week in the Eastham league and went ahead in the 23rd minute.
A bad referee decision gifted our opposition another before going into the break 2-0 down.
In the 2nd period Airbus took the game to Saughall playing at pace and matching them physically. After hitting the woodwork 4 times we eventually scored from a cross from the right with Gethin heading home. We pushed for the equaliser again hitting woodwork twice. A positive 2nd period for our young wing makers a fantastic match for there development.

Caernarfon Town Academy Under 15 1-3 Airbus Academy Under 15
The lads and coaches were all up early for a 9:30am KO away at Caernarfon. It was bitterly cold on the coast as we looked forward to playing this fixture and keeping the good run going.
The match was a cagey affair in the early stages, but we settled down when Jarrod Harris scored his 1st goal for the club with a fine 1st time finish from a Sam Williams corner.
We unfortunately conceded a scruffy equaliser when the ball was adjudged to go over the line by the official.
We went back in front on the stroke of half time as a great through ball from Dexter Mcgilloway was dispatched by Jack Owen via the opposition defender into the bottom corner.
We managed the 2nd half well limiting our hosts to only half chances and secured all 3 points when we played out from the back - where GK Shay Moroney played the ball into Lewis Young on the left hand side. Lewis played an exquisite pass into the path of Elias Owolabi, who turned inside and found Dexter Mcgilloway who finished well at the back post. An excellent team goal from back to front which shows excellent development and understanding of our principles.
The lads saw the game out well and were unlucky not to add further goals - the game finished 3-1 to Airbus.
Player of the week
Dexter Mcgilloway
A goal and an assist for Dexter today. Important that we recognise the quality that is shown at key moments in the game. Well done Dexter.
Under 16's
Caernarfon Town Academy Under 16 1-10 Airbus Academy Under 16
A glorious day away in Caernarfon as the U16 side welcomed back 8 players from Illness or injury and were raring to go from the 1st minute.
We looked to gain the initiative and were on the front foot when Dylan Cusato got in behind and played the ball to Jake Pendlebury who guided the ball over the line. A great start for the lads.
4 minutes later Alex Mossman was unopposed at the back post and headed the ball home from a Jack Davies corner to make it 2-0.
Fin Hayes then played the ball into the opposition box for Joseph Pridding to finish well at the back post as the young wingmakers continued to be ruthless in front of goal.
On the half hour, Jake Pendlebury returned the favour for Dylan Cusato who went passed the defender and struck the ball across the keeper into the bottom corner to make it 4-0.
Caernarfon then grabbed one back before Jack Davies broke down the left and side, played the ball across and Will Hewitt struck the ball into the top left hand corner - a very popular goal with the ladsas it was his first for the club in the FAW Academi this season.
5-1 @ half time and the message was to keep it going and continue to perform the right things.
2nd half saw us against the wind but it didn't deter the young wingmakers from keeping to their principles and playing excellent football.
Callum Reynolds scored the first of the second half when he finished well from a Fin Hayes pass.
Caiden Baker-Williams then got in on the action and made it 7 when some good play from Max Murray on the left was finished well at the far post.
Callum Reynolds then scored his 2nd and 3rd goals of the game to complete his 2nd half hat-trick, after assists from Jake Pendlebury and Jack Davies. 2 clinical finishes from Cal which will give him confidence going forward.
Jack Davies then scored our 10th and final goal of the game when he finished well after more good work from Max Murray.
Final score was 10-1 to Airbus.
An excellent performance from the U16 side against a tough and physical Caernarfon side who are always difficult to play away from home.
We will look to take this good form into our next fixture away at TNS.
Players of the week
Dylan Cusato
We have pushed Dylan forward in recent weeks which is having a positive effect on the team and individually for himself - 2 goals in his last 2 games is great effort and shows excellent development. Well done Dyl.
Will Hewitt
Great attitude & very consistent, week in week out in any position that he is asked to play. He finds space where he has no right to find it at times - which is a great quality to have. He added a goal to his performance today - which all the lads were delighted about as it was his first for the club with hopefully many more to follow.
Airbus Academy Under 19 3-4 Caernarfon Academy Under19
Airbus travelled up the coast for a Sunday afternoon match verses Caernarfon
The hosts started the better of the two sides and very quickly pounced on errors made by the young wingmakers and quickly found themselves behind. Struggling to take any real control for large portions of the half Caernarfon took the few chances they created better than the Airbus team as we did not finish the few chances we created. HT 4-1 Caernarfon
Second half was all one way traffic as Airbus dominated the ball well and created chance after chance but could not capitalise from enough of them
Full time 4-3 Caernarfon
Player of the Week
Louis Bebbington
Louis only came on at half time but made a big impact. Lou is one of the biggest characters in the group and his contributions don’t go unnoticed. He is a real leader and the lads look up to him. Well done Louis
