Games included Aston Villa, Bala Town, Chester FC and Everton FC for our Young WingMakers this weekend

Airbus U8s – Aston Villa (A) & Everton (A)
U8’s made the trip to Aston Villa on Saturday and then to Everton on Monday evening.
The boys thoroughly enjoyed the occasions at these prestige academies.
The young Wingmakers held there own in both venues scoring some excellent goals and playing some fantastic football.

Man of the match v Aston Villa Reagan Jones, scored some excellent goals .
Man of the match v Everton Aussie Wardle , outstanding defending and excellent passes forward

Airbus U9s – Aston Villa (A)
A really entertaining game filled with technical ability and good decisions.
As a collective the squad offered a real attacking threat and defended with a determination which Eddie, the player of the day, summed up perfectly. Well done all.

Airbus U12s – Bala Town (A)
A great display from Airbus Sunday from start to finish loads of chances created, and first league goals from Sam & Lucas.
Second half myself & Leigh said can we keep possession in all phases of play back to front which the boys done brilliantly.
The 3rd goal from Ollie was just that, passing though the midfield,& waiting for the opportunity to open up which Ollie finished with composure. Myself & leigh want this on a weekly basis Well done to the boys today

MOTM-Harry Jefferies

Airbus U13s – Chester FC (H)
The boys started slowly in the late Sunday kick under the lights and were a couple of goals down before a bad injury to Miller Blackwell Jones just before halftime caused a lengthy delay , best wishes to Miller and hope he is back playing soon.
The second half ebbed and flowed a couple of goals for Airbus from Frank Jones and Jacob Mountain, and another couple for Chester.
A good 11v11 game for the boys which will stand them in good stead for the move to 11v11 next season.

Players of the match Will Rishworth, some excellent saves which kept us in it and Leo Killick always a threat going forward.

Airbus U14s – Bala Town (A)
The under 14’s travelled to Bala after a week where there was plenty of disruption caused by the adverse weather.
Airbus were looking to regain some momentum having not picked up any points in the previous 4 games, despite showing improvements in certain areas each match day.
We started the game well and in the very first minute Lucas Braisdell ran 40 yards directly through the middle of the pitch avoiding challenge from 3 different opponents before sliding a pass to the rich in form Harry Williams who slotted away and put Airbus 1-0 up.
The returning Noah Al-Dulayymi was next to threaten the Bala box weaving past the defenders and slotting away for a 2-0 lead.
Jack Hardstaff received from a throw in and combined well with Jack Melia, who’s excellently weighted first time pass put Jack H in behind the back line to score his first goal of the season.
Approaching half time Airbus were fully in control at 3-0 but a lapse in concentration allowed Bala a free strike that went in to pull one back for the hosts.
Into the second half and a slow start from Airbus allowed Bala another scrappy goal to bring the game to 3-2. Another reminder that concentration levels either side of the break are extremely important no matter the score line.
Bala looked to build on their 2 goals, but it was Airbus that regained control, Piotr Wlodarczyk found himself in unfamiliar territory in the final third, but that didn’t phase him and he finished well high into the roof of the net to take the advantage back to 2 goals.
Joseph Farrell had a previous free kick attempt go just over the bar, but it wouldn’t be a repeat scenario as he found the top corner with an excellent strike that had the keeper routed to his line and he extended our lead to 5-2.
Airbus’ press from the front was good all afternoon, going man for man to win the ball back high, we again did that before some quick feet from Joseph Farrell allowed him some space to feed Noah Al-Dulayymi on the edge of the box who found the corner to make it 6-2.
A positive result that the players can look to build on in the games ahead before the Christmas break.

Player of the week – Noah Al Dulayymi, with two goals on the day Noah again proved too much for his opposition, but what was really pleasing to see was his desire to track back and do the hard work off the ball in the transitions..

Airbus Under 16s – Bala Town (H)
The first game against Bala out of two in the next three weeks was at home. We started really well creating some fantastic chances that unfortunately we couldn’t quite put to bed. All positive things going forward which we had asked for before the game.
A big chance for us one end was then made worse by Bala opening the score through a ricochet of our clearance ending up in the back of the net. Pleasingly a much better reaction across the board from this week’s set back.
Stanley Edwards took down the ball from Max Mason's cross to equalise twenty minutes later.
Going in 1-1 at half time Airbus still had another gear to go up. Just after half time Airbus broke when Jake slid Frankie Axon in who squared it for Kasper to put in the back of the net.
The next thirty minutes seen Airbus control the game quite well limiting Bala’s chances.
The game was put to bed when Evan Roberts scored from the edge of the area to make it 3-1 in with one minute to go. Over the moon for Jake to grab a goal in added time to make it 4-1.
Overall, a positive display for the boys and a big weight lifted off their shoulders it seemed.

Player of the match – Levi Lloyd
A solid display at the back throughout the game and communicated well to his team mates

Airbus Under 19s – Bala Town (H)
Sunday Airbus 19’s hosted Bala in the National Academi North Development League
The game started pretty slow as Airbus faced the strong wind in the first half. Tough conditions to play in and the ball held up a couple of times creating problems for the players judging the flight of the ball
Neither team really controlled the game as the visitors struggled to play with the wind and Airbus struggled against it
We did however create a four half decent chances in the first half and it was disappointing that we could not turn those chances in to more, HT 0-0
Second half started in a similar fashion. The visitor’s frustration the Airbus side who struggled to control the chaos
The opening goal finally came on 55’ as Airbus attacked down the right side delivering a dangerous cross which was turned in to the defenders own net OG 1-0 Airbus
As the half went on Airbus were starting to get clear control of the game but couldn’t affect much in the final third
After several chances then finally from a wonder goal on 90’ from James Allen we finally put the game to bed
Final score 2-0 Airbus

Player of the week today goes to James Allen. James is a bright young player who has lots of spark and potential. Recently his character has started to show through in training and games and I think we still have a lot to see from the young man. Creating some of our dangerous attacks and scoring himself a fantastic goal in today’s game are proof of that. Well done James
