Experienced defender becomes Mark Allen’s latest addition to the squad

Blaine, 33, has become Airbus’ second addition for the upcoming Season. He has an abundance of experience within the Cymru Leagues.

Hudson was part of the Norwich City Under 18s squad and in 2011 he made the move to Cambridge United, where he had loan spells with Cambridge City, Billericay and Welling United.

After spending 3 years at Cambridge United, he moved to Wrexham AFC playing in the National League at the time. He went on to make 76 appearances for the Welsh side scoring 7 goals along the way.

Blaine spent one season at Wrexham, and in July 2016 he moved to fellow National League rivals Chester FC, where he worked under Jon McCarthy and was part of the defensive line-up making 32 appearances and scoring 2 goals.

In 2017 he joined the current Cymru Premier Champions TNS. The Welsh side was the longest spell he had within his playing career so far. Blaine went on to make 199 appearances for TNS, scoring 28 goals from his defensive position and creating 15 goals. His experience speaks for itself with 158 appearances coming in the Cymru Premier.

With his spell at TNS, they were crowned Champions 6 times, along with Welsh Cup and Welsh League Cup titles. Along with success in the Welsh competitions, he was part of the squads that experienced European football.

In January 2025, due to limited playing time, Blaine took the decision to go on loan to Caernarfon Town for the remainder of the season. He went on to be involved in Caernarfon’s brilliant end to the Season which saw them involved in a European Play off against Haverfordwest County, which they sadly lost.

Mark Allen was delighted with the signing of Blaine and the calibre of player he is, “Signing Blaine is really important for us as a group moving forward. We are keen to build upon the success of last year and a player of Blaine’s quality will further strengthen us on and off the pitch, as well as our aim to be in the Welsh Premier League.”
