Our hosts were formed in 1899 under Haverfordwest Football Club and in 1956 they changed their name to Haverfordwest County and kept this name going forward

In 2004, Haverfordwest County qualified for Europe via their league position in the League of Wales, where the competed in the UEFA Cup and unfortunately they lost 4-1 over two legs

In 2010-11 season, they were relegated to the Cymru Premier for the first time, but in 2015 they were promoted back to the Cymru Premier, and this season is their 7th consecutive season in the top league. In the 2024/25 season, they recorded their best finish as they finished 3rd in the Cymru Premier.

Last season, Haverfordwest County finished in the bottom 6 of the table when the league split in January. They went on to top the Play-off conference phase and went on to secure a play off match against Barry Town for a place in the first qualifying round of the UEFA conference. County went on to beat Barry town 3-1 on penalties after the game finished 1-1. The final saw them play Penybont and unfortunately for Haverfordwest they lost 2-0 to Penybont as they secured their place in the first qualifying round.

In phase one of the Cymru Premier last season, our hosts had a mix bag of results. They recorded wins against Flint Town United, Bala Town and Colwyn Bay but fell to losses against Penybont on the opening game of the season, as well as TNS and Connah’s Quay. In phase two there form changed and as they won 8 out of their 10 games, including a 6-0 win against Llanelli Town.

Airbus secured promotion last season after finishing runners-up to eventual winners Llandudno. The last time the WingMakers were in the Cymru Premier was in 2022-23 and our two head-to-heads that season ended up with three points going to the host, with 3-0 and 2-1 wins, with Fin Savage scoring the goal in the 2-1 defeat.

Both teams entered phase 2 and the play-off conference and this saw them compete against each other again and it was the Bluebirds that had the better of results with a 4-0 and a 4-1 win, which saw Jake Eyre score the consolation goal in the 4-1 result.
