Kaiden Cooke commits to Season 2025/26

Michelle Griffiths13 Jun - 15:26

JD Cymru North Young player of the season remains a WingMaker

After another fantastic season for our No.12, he has made the decision to continue his journey with Airbus.

Kaiden joined our Academy set up at the young age of 7, after being picked up by Manchester United.

Airbus pride themselves on the number of players that have come through our academy and their journey into the First team.

Kaiden showed his skill set and pace from a young age and this became a big part of his game.

He worked his way up through the age groups and at the age of 16 he was handed his first team debut against Trefelin in the FAW Welsh Cup back in November 2022. This led to him also making his first league appearance in the JD Cymru Premier against Haverfordwest a week later.

Following his league debut, his first senior goal followed when he was on the score sheet with a consultation goal in our 2-1 defeat to local rivals Connah’s Quay Nomads.

Cooke went on to make 14 league appearances that season (2022/23), in a very difficult season for Airbus as they suffered relegation to the JD Cymru North.

This gave Kaiden a good stepping stone going into the 2023/24. He went on to make 28 JD Cymry North appearances, scoring 8 goals and clocking up 3 assists.

Last season was probably Kaiden’s best season for Airbus with outstanding performances throughout the season.

In a very successful season for Airbus, Kaiden was vital part to the attacking threat they poised in the League and Cup competitions. He went on to make 28 JD Cymru North appearances, scoring 7 goals and assisting 6.

His performances were rewarded by the
league as he was nominated by the FAW for Young Player of the Season. Cooke fought off high competition to take home the prize at the FAW National League Awards in Cardiff.
