
First 5 mins both teams looking to secure possession and settle into the game.
After 10 mins - a loose ball in midfield was picked up by a Bangor midfielder who slid the ball in behind the back, for the Bangor McGonigle to go 1v1 with Keighan Jones, then McGonigle took it round the advancing Jones and the ref pointed to the penalty spot after Jones appears to catch the Bangor number 10.
The number 10 calmly converted from the spot to give the home side the lead.
Airbus responded well to the early goal and created a good chance when Jordan Evans pinched the ball back in midfield and played the ball into Kaiden Cooke who couldn’t beat the Jones in the Bangor goal.
It wasn’t long until Airbus were level after some good pressure in midfield Airbus punished the bangor defence when George Peers received the ball inside the box and calmly slotted the ball into the bottom right corner to level the score.
The goal gave Airbus confidence and they continued to create chances. Peers was denied with a good save after some good build up play the, Jones made a good save with his feet.
Airbus were soon in front after Kaiden Cooke scored to make it 2-1. The Airbus number 10 dribbled the ball into the penalty area and finished brilliantly into the roof of the net to put Airbus in front.
In the second half after a few changes for both teams, Airbus started the half well controlling possession and moving the ball up the pitch into some promising positions.
Jake Roberts had 3 good chances but failed to hit the back of the net. Mason Blackwell-Jones hit the side netting after a good move ended with the ball on the left side of the box but he couldn’t convert.
With 10 mins remaining Airbus got there after Jake Roberts was fouled. James Allen floated a cross into the box and Nathan Williams looped his header home from 12 yards.
Airbus continued to control possession and saw the game out coming out as 3-1 winners and some valuable minutes under their belts with the first game of preseason completed.
