The end of a busy week for the WingMakers as they welcome Mold Alexandra

Three games in 6 days has made it a busy week for Airbus and so far they have recorded 2 wins out of 2, their latest three points coming against Brickfield Rangers on Tuesday night.

Josh Stevenson wants to keep the momentum going within the squad, “Another tough game, with Mold coming into a good bit of form and also the 3rd game in the space of 6 days.

However, I think the lads enjoy a quick turnaround as it keeps us ticking and allows us to continue with the momentum we have built since Christmas.

We know promotion is mathematically possible from this game but we have to do our part in the game before celebrating promotion

Our away trip to the MKH Stadium ended in a shared of the spoils as the game finished 1-1. Since that draw, Airbus have gone on to record 10 consecutive wins in the league to help towards their push for promotion.

The game in November was a battle on a heavy pitch. Mold took the lead early on as Harvey Morris headed on a long throw from Matty Lewis and Morris’ header ended up hitting the back post and in.

Blaine Hudson was substituted on for a cameo up front and he had the ball in the back of next shortly after he come on but the linesman’s flag halted Airbus’ celebrations.

Both teams had various chances and it was 2 minutes remaining of the 90 when George Peers with an excellent goal from a very acute angle secured a point for Airbus. Peers thought he had won not long after but again and offside was called to deny the No.11 a double and taking three points.

They also ended the game with 10 men after James Davies was shown a red card with 6 minutes remaining.

We look forward to welcoming you on Friday night to a game under the lights!
