Hello Oli, after the semi-final win over Corwen, you dug in as a team didn’t you?
O.L. “Yeah, absolutely. Corwen made it really tough for us, but I think the lads showed real character.
We had to dig in at times, especially in the second half, but we stayed disciplined and stuck together—everyone put in a shift”
You captained the team, how was that personally after your journey from the academy to the first team?
O.L. “Personally, captaining the team meant a lot.
Coming through the academy, I’ve seen the work that goes in behind the scenes, and to now lead the boys out in a semi-final and get the win—it’s something I’m really proud of”
We face Holywell Town in the final at the Hollingsworth group stadium, our games against them are always a tight affair?
O.L. “We know how tough they are—every game we’ve had with them has been close, proper battles. But we’ll be ready.
It’s a big occasion at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium, and we’ll give everything to bring that trophy home”
