Thoughts from the Gaffer after our draw against Buckley Town FC

Disappointing to come away with just a point against Buckley?

M.A. “Yes really disappointed, particularly being 2-0 up. I thought we were good for it to be honest.

Our second goal was outstanding, probably our team goal of the season.

We carved them open from back to front. But always felt we needed one more.

Two goals conceded from corners, could we have dealt with it a lot better?

M.A. “Yeah, we haven’t conceded from set pieces this season so to concede two in a game is very disappointing.”

Kaiden Cooke was a menace all game?

M.A. “Yes he did very well again. Always lively and threat. He took his goal very calmly and then was our biggest threat in the second half.

It’s a joy to watch him play.”

How do you see the title challenge playing out?

M.A. “Think the title is done now. We set ourselves the challenge to win our last nine games and unfortunately fell short.

It’s a testament to the other teams around us for having such a good win record and pushing each other.”
