Thoughts on a comfortable win away at Ruthin Town

After the postponement on Friday, it was good to get the game re-arranged quite quickly and I think after a scrappy few minutes, we managed to control the game and was a good team performance in the end?

M.A. "Yes it was important to get it rearranged quickly and play. I think it showed that we’d had a week off in the first 15 minutes and Ruthin started with a high tempo to their game too. Once the game settled and we got into our rhythm I felt we were in control"

There were a few chances we had before we scored, but scored at an important time of the game with half time approaching?

M.A. "Yes we started to create when we passed and got the patterns correct. Importantly getting runners in the box and entries. That caused them a few problems and then it was a case of being clinical in front of goal"

That is our seventh straight win in the league now, how proud are you as a team?

M.A. "As a group we’ve done well and I feel we’ve been very professional in our performances of late, but haven’t achieved anything as yet this season.
That may sound dismissive but as a collective we have targets to still achieve and we are not there yet. However, the drive to progress is very extremely strong and focussed
"

Tyler took the man of the match award, he was excellent against Ruthin?

M.A. "He was very good. He dealt with their wide threat very well and was always on the front foot to support going forward. It was an impressive display from him"

A quick turn around this weekend, as we welcome Flintshire rivals Buckley Town on Saturday?

M.A. "Yes a very good team, who will be a challenging opponent. So we will have to recover efficiently to make sure we compete against them"
