The Gaffer on Saturday's three points against Haverfordwest County

Congratulations on the three points, we made history yesterday on the first newly-promoted side to win their opening game in the Cymru Premier away from home for 19 years, how proud of the boys are you?

M.A. "Thanks.
Yes, very proud of everyone. It was important to get our levels of performance right with what is expected week in week out in the Cymru Prem and I felt we did that as a group today. We had to work hard together for three points and that is what has pleased me the most. Now we focus on our first home game and prepare right for that
"

Josh Stevenson with the winner in the 85th minute and also a proud moment for our academy seeing one of your products come into the first team and score?

M.A. "Again proud of all the hard work and coaching that happens in the academy and when they come through like Josh, George,Tyler to name a few have regularly, with others knocking on the door too then it’s great for the whole club.
Yes, he took the goal very well, but more importantly he defended resiliently alongside Sam Rickett, Tyler and Nathan. I felt all four were solid and compact throughout the whole game and limited Haverfordwest to only a few chances
"

The core group of players have been together for a few seasons now, does that help how you approach a new season?

M.A. "Yes, I feel we all have an understanding of the expectation of each other and be honest with each other for the good of the group. Obviously, on the pitch the relationships that individuals develop and units too when they work together are key to results and performance."

A few of our new faces made their debuts today and did very well?

M.A. "Yes very pleased. I thought Sean was excellent with Joe as they were playing up against real quality and know how in their midfield. Louis was clean and tidy with all he had to do and James Hughes brought us some well needed energy when he came on, along with Evan too.
So pleased with their starts and the way they have contributed on and off the pitch too.
"

There were some very nice words from Haverfordwest's manager after the game?

M.A. "Yes we had a genuine chat after the game and he was complimentary to our performance. Haverfordwest have a lot of quality and experience in their squad and it is where we would look to as a group ourselves to match their progress and development as a team and club over time."
