We have progressed into the quarter finals with a win last night, under difficult weather conditions?
M.A. "Yes obviously glad to progress and as you say difficult conditions for both teams to play in. However I thought we were good for the win and maybe could have scored more as we had five or six balls that went across the box that we just couldn’t get onto. I also thought our defence was excellent with and without the ball"
We had a few chances through the game to make it more than 1-0 at the end?
M.A. "Yes, again think that was more to do with the conditions throughout the game. We kept it better against the wind than we did with it, but yes could have converted more"
You were able to make changes tonight with a couple of busy weeks coming up?
M.A. "Yes it’s important to use the squad that we have and give players the opportunity over the heavy period of fixtures. All the squad contribute so much whether it’s a full 90minutes or those that get 10minutes. It’s our togetherness as a group that is key when the fixtures come thick and fast"
We turn our attention back to league action this weekend as we welcome Guilsfield, who has been on a tough run of late?
M.A. "It’s important not to underestimate Guilsfield as the way have an experienced squad for this league and it would be dangerous to look at their current form as they have match winners to hurt any team. We need to focus on ourselves and be better as a collective than we were against Denbigh in our last league game"
