Hello tom, what age did you start your football journey and what made you join our academy Airbus?
T.D. “My journey started when I was 16 I was playing Sunday league at the time and fancied the challenge to push myself to get into the academy environment”
You have been an ever present with our PDP set up and your good form was rewarded when you were involved in the squad at Buckley away in 23/24 season?
T.D. “I think the Buckley game was my first involvement with the first team it was a huge milestone for me and a great reward for the hard work I tried to put in”
Your first start for the first team came against Hawarden Rangers in the NEWFA Men’s Senior Challenge Cup, as long as your first goal against Lex in the same competition, was this a proud moment for yourself?
T.D. “Yes getting that first goal and first minutes was probably my best moment so far”
There is big competition within the defence area at Airbus and at the beginning of this Season you joined fellow JD Cymru North side Ruthin Town, how did this come about?
T.D.“I just needed to get more first team minutes under my belt to help me develop further in order to try and challenge to get back into the first team regularly”
How has your time at Ruthin helped you?
T.D. “It’s helped me physically having to prepare myself more as the league is a lot more physical than the u19s league also my decision making has had to get a lot better as mistakes can be very costly as a centre back”
