Sam joined Airbus back in 2021/22, where before that he was playing for Woolton Warriors at grassroots level.

Sam through his development had time at Everton and Bolton.

He initially joined our PDP section, where he made his debut against Cefn Druids Development in the Cymru Premier development North league. He went on to score in his first game.
Sam broke into the first team set up in the 2022/23 season, where he made a substitute appearance against Pontypridd United away.

Sam was a constant figure in the FAW Reserve and Cymru Development leagues, and his impressive performance saw him included in the first team squad in the JD Cymru North. He made two substitute appearances against Porthmadog and Llanidloes and scoring in both games.

In the 23/24 season, Baker went on to make 23 appearances, 7 goals and 2 assists.

The following Season, he went on to make 27 appearances, scoring 10 with a braces coming against Mold Alexandra and Gresford Athletic

Mark Allen had the following to say on Baker’s loan to Gresford Athletic, “A good opportunity for Sam to go and get some regular game time.
He has unfortunately had limited minutes so he needs to go and play at this level. He has a lot of great attributes to contribute to any team’s success, pace, skill and he can score too.
We will be looking closely at who he gets on at Gresford and thank them for completing the loan deal smoothly and quickly”
