He initially joined our PDP section and his impressive performance earned him a place in the starting line-up for first team against Holywell in the NEWFA Cup.

Collins become part of the first team environment and was included in the squads each weekend, but last season with the completion within our midfield limited the youngster to minutes.

Last season, he made 20 appearances including league and Cup. He scored in our cup win against Llandudno which was part of of our journey to winning the Welsh Blood Cup against Trefelin.

Dan’s season ended early after an injury he picked up playing for the Reserves but he has attacked Pre-Season with a great attitude and he will go out on loan to our fellow JD Cymru North side Gresford Athletic until January.

Mark Allen had the following to say on Collin’s loan to Gresford, “A good opportunity for Dan to get some game time at Gresford.

He is very highly thought of at Airbus and unfortunately mainly to injuries his game time was limited last season.

Playing at Gresford will be a good learning curve for him and allow him to develop and become more accustomed to the league.”
