Cast members of Channel 4 show Hollyoaks will line-up as Wrexham Police FC's next opponents in a charity fundraiser.
Established in 2022, the charity funds projects to support the health and wellbeing of all blue light services such as police, ambulance and the fire service.
In their fixtures against community sides to date, the Wrexham officers have raised more than £17,000 for charities, hospitals and local initiatives.
Sergeant Dave Smith, reached out to Hollyoaks cast member Nick Pickard, who plays Tony in the show, to organise the game.
He now hopes his side can raise even more vital funds for a good cause in their latest clash against the soap star celebrities.
Sgt Dave Smith expressed his thoughts on the game: "I’d like to thank Nick Pickard and the cast of Hollyoaks for agreeing to play us. Their support will help raise awareness and funding for a great cause that supports the health and wellbeing of emergency service workers.
We’re now finding that we are reaching a much wider audience with support and match requests from across the UK.
The match is for yet another very worthy cause and we can't wait to get stuck in. Donations of any amount big or small really will help make a difference."
Spectators are welcome to attend the 5pm kick-off, with entry costing £3 for adults and £1 for children.
