U10's Play Prestatyn Academy Fixture

The first official game in 2020 for the U10’s.

Airbus played with a high tempo and were very comfortable in possession throughout the game.

The deadlock was broken by a great left footed strike from Nataniel Rakowiecki quickly followed with a sweetly struck free kick from close range.

A wonder strike from Harry Roberts from distance completed the scoring in this period.

The excellent football continued into the second period, building through the phases with speed.

The goalkeepers today were key to this, both showing great composure on the ball which resulted in many of our attacks being built from the back.

It was pleasing to see the work from training sessions showing in the game with some great counter attacking football. Something that the squad have been working on recently.

Playing this way, Airbus added 4 more goals to the tally in the second period.

Goals came from a neat close range finish Myles Bennett, Stanley Horrocks (2) showing great power, pace and composure. Nataniel then completed his well deserved hat trick.

Into the final period confidence was high for Airbus and we continued to enjoy a lot of possession.

Throughout the game players personal and team challenges were successfully met - One being to have a higher press and win the ball in the final third.

Completing this challenge proved very fruitful for Airbus as more 5 goals were added from this play. Goals from Myles Bennett, Jack Davies, Ben Roberts, Evan Hewitt and 1 more for Nataniel Rakowiecki.

Prestatyn defended with great resilience with their goalkeeper making many great saves. They scored a late consolation goal with a neat finish from close range when Airbus were unable to clear from a corner.

A pleasing performance from the lads today with many positives to take from the game.
