A mixed opening to the game from both teams saw Airbus go behind by 1 goal early on. By the end of the first period we had levelled with an acute angled finish at the back post by Jayden Smyth from a Jack Davies cross.

Into the second period, Newtown got themselves back into lead. We continued to play our game and put plenty of pressure on the Newtown goal, unfortunate not to level the score in the second period.

The third period was when our continued pressure and excellent football started to have a positive impact on the game.

Our success mainly came down the left hand side with our 2 left sided players linking up fantastically throughout, which resulted in 2 goals from Jack Davies.

The last period was our most rewarding, with the players consistently taking what they had learnt during our training sessions in the week into today's match. The quick combination passing & attacking football in the final 3rd was pleasing to watch.

Stanley Horrocks added 2 goals to his season’s tally, a fantastic strikers performance from him.

The scoring finished the same way it started with a Jayden Smyth goal from a Jack Davies assist.

Jack was outstanding throughout the game, he linked up well with all his teammates and took the team forward with his driving runs. His confidence grew as the game went on. Taking what we worked on in training that week into the game was great to see. With 2 assists and 2 goals topping off his performance. Well done Jack
