U16's Show Character To Earn A Point

Strong start for Airbus in the opening 25 minutes which Druids weathered well.

Some excellent bits of play created a number of openings which weren’t put away through a mix of good defending by druids and sloppy finishing.

Inevitably Druids hit Airbus on the break and worked the ball well on the counter to create the opening goal and make it 1-0 to the away side.

Following the goal, Druids were much the stronger of the 2 sides and created a few chances of their own, before a fantastic header from the big number 9 off a corner made it 2-0 to the away side.

Airbus for the next 5 minutes, gathered their thoughts, settled down and managed to get a goal back before half time.

It was a very well worked goal as some good play from Zac Russell and Fin savage put it on a plate for Harvey Robbo to tap in.

The second half was very scrappy.

Druids kept the pressure on and did well to keep airbus in their own half for a sustained period.

The Druid's number 9 upfront has to have special mention as he didn’t stop running all game and held the ball up really well.

As the game went on, Airbus started to take the game to Druids and finished the match strongly.

Thus, in the 75th minute a free kick from Fin savage drew the hosts level.

A very competitive game ended 2-2 and good football was shown from both sides.
