Airbus Dominate Coedpoeth in Seven-Goal Victory

Airbus put in an impressive attacking display as they ran out 7–1 winners against Coedpoeth, producing a dominant performance that saw them create chance after chance throughout the match.

Airbus started brightly and could have taken the lead as early as the first minute. Will Hewitt did well down the right before finding Dylan Cusato, whose effort went narrowly wide. Four minutes later, Callum Wakefield tried his luck from distance, but his strike also went just wide of the post.

Airbus were given a major warning on 14 minutes when Mike Taylor spotted goalkeeper Jake Carroll off his line and attempted to chip him. The effort beat the keeper but came crashing back off the post.

Airbus continued to threaten, and on 23 minutes Louis Bebbington-Rodgers played a neat inside pass to James Hughes, who laid the ball off to Alex Mossman, but his effort sailed over the bar.

The breakthrough finally arrived on 26 minutes. Oskar Dymowski won possession and released Kacper Bury, who drove at the Coedpoeth defence before producing an excellent ball into the path of Hewitt. The forward rounded the goalkeeper before calmly passing the ball into the empty net to make it 1–0.

Airbus were relentless and nearly doubled their advantage on 35 minutes when Bebbington-Rodgers beat the offside trap and found Hughes on the edge of the box. His effort beat the goalkeeper but crashed back off the post.

The second goal did arrive three minutes later. Some excellent work down the right saw Hewitt play the ball into Hughes, whose delivery towards the near post was flicked into the back of the net by Cusato to make it 2–0.

Airbus added a third just two minutes later. Bebbington-Rodgers delivered a cross from the left and Bury got a foot to the ball, sending it into the roof of the net for 3–0.

There was still time for another chance before the break as Bury found Cusato with an inside pass, but his effort was blocked for a corner.

Airbus came out strongly after the interval, with a shot bringing a save from Dion Kelly within the opening minute. Moments later, Alex Allcock crossed from the right and Bury produced a fantastic strike that came back off the post.

The fourth goal arrived on 49 minutes. James Hughes showed excellent individual skill to create space for himself before calmly finishing past Kelly to put Airbus firmly in control at 4–0.

Airbus made a triple substitution on the hour, with Caiden Baker-Williams, Jack Davies and Fin Hayes were introduced for Alex Mossman, Kacper Bury and Alex Allcock.

On 65 minutes, Harry Henderson won possession in his own half before carrying the ball forward and playing an excellent pass into Hughes, whose effort forced another save from Kelly.

Will Green was introduced for Jack Griffiths in the 69th minute, and Airbus continued to press for more goals.

On 70 minutes, Baker-Williams delivered a cross from the right towards Hughes at the near post, but his effort was blocked.

The fifth goal came two minutes later. Hewitt brought the ball down brilliantly before playing Hughes through. Hughes then produced a lovely pass into the path of Cusato, who deftly lifted the ball over Kelly and into the net for 5–0.

Cusato almost had another moments later when Davies found him with a pass after a clever ball in behind, but his effort was blocked.

Coedpoeth had a rare opportunity on 75 minutes when Rob Reynolds found space behind the Airbus defence, although his effort was always rising.

Airbus restored their attacking momentum and added a sixth on 80 minutes. Hayes found Davies with an excellent pass, and after his first attempt was blocked, but on his second attempt Davies dug out a cross into the box. Hughes rose highest to head home for his second goal of the evening, making it 6–0.

Coedpoeth pulled one back two minutes later when Cal Roberts found space on the edge of the box and passed the ball into the back of the net.

Airbus were not finished, however, and Hughes went close again on 86 minutes, driving at the Coedpoeth defence before firing just over the bar.

The scoring was completed in the 87th minute. Baker-Williams delivered another excellent cross into the box and Davies arrived at the back post to slot the ball home and make it 7–1.

It was a thoroughly deserved victory for Airbus, who produced an outstanding attacking performance and could easily have scored even more given the number of chances created. Hughes and Hewitt were particularly influential, while the contributions from Bury, Cusato, Davies and the rest of the attacking unit ensured Airbus remained a constant threat throughout.
