Holyhead Hotspur FC Preview
We welcome newly promoted side Holyhead Hotspur to The Hollingsworth Group Stadium
This Saturday we return home after an opening day win against Buckley Town FC after a hat-trick from George Peers.
We welcome promoted side Holyhead Hotspur this weekend. Our visitors gained promotion to the JD Cymru North after a play-off final win against Llanuwchllyn, where Holyhead come out 3-0 winners.
Last weekend we bowed out of the Nathaniel MG Cup to TNS and Mark Allen is looking forward to build on our 3 points against Buckley Town, “We are looking forward to the first home game of the season and build momentum from the first game of the season at Buckley.
Last week was tough, however we are back to our main focus of the league and know Holyhead will be a difficult challenge”
After a disappointment scoreline against TNS in the Nathaniel MG Cup last weekend, Jordan Evans is looking forward to getting our home campaign underway, “After the weekend away at TNS in the cup, we’re looking forward to getting back to league action this weekend.
I thought we gave a strong account of ourselves, especially first half and on a different day we could be winning at half time and it becomes a different game. But it’s a cup game and that’s gone so we return focus on the league.
We had a great opening day win at Buckley, and now we want to try and build some momentum now in the coming weeks. It’s up to us to put in a big performance at home for the first time this season.
It’s good to see Holyhead back in the league and we know they’ll be full of fight and looking to sustain in this league moving forward, so we have to be at our best to get the job done and get 3 points”
