Llandudno FC Preview
A clash of two unbeaten teams as 1st take on 3rd on Friday evening
After a convincing 6-0 win against CPD Y Rhyl FC at The Hollingsworth Group Stadium, Airbus have a tough test against 1 of the 3 unbeaten sides in the JD Cymru North.
Last week, Llandudno made a great comeback against Buckley Town after trailing 2-0, with 20 minutes remaining they scored 3 goals to take all three points and keep their unbeaten record intact.
Jordan Evans knows it will be a tough evening, “This game against Llandudno is a massive game for both teams, especially after the great starts we have both had.
Llandudno have got great players and have a shown a real relentless streak so far, so we’ll be looking to put a stop to that on Friday.
We’ve scored a lot of goals so far this Season and played some fantastic football, but these are the games that will have a big say in where we go this Season.
We’re getting to the midway part of this Season, so we need the momentum to continue in this league. We need to be at our best to win the game, which I have no doubt we will be fully ready and prepared.
It should be a great game between two great teams. Hopefully we come out on top.”
Our two league meetings last season, ended with Airbus taking 3 points on both occasions. Llandudno were our second opponent last season as we welcomed them to the Airfield.
It was a goal fest for the WingMakers with Danny Warren scoring his first hattrick for the club and goals also coming from George Peers and Jordan Evans. The away fixture at the Go Goodwins Stadium was a tight affair. Llandudno took the lead through Harvey Bennett early on in the first half and it looked like they were going to see the game out.
But with 5 minutes remaining of the 90, Ryan Edwards brought Airbus level and the momentum of the game changed. With a chunk of injury time added on, it was Airbus who took all three points with a 99th minute winner through Jake Eyre.
It looks to be a good game on Friday evening and both teams will be looking to put on a show under the lights.
