Denbigh Town FC Preview
The WingMakers are looking to build on their result on Friday against Ruthin
This week we welcome Denbigh Town in another Friday evening fixture.
Last weekend, Airbus came out 4-0 winners against struggling Ruthin Town, recording four different goal scorers. Our visitors played league leaders Llandudno in a tightly competed game as they narrowly lost 2-1.
Kieran Evans knows Friday evening Airbus will have to be at their best, “Looking forward to the game Friday night. I think Denbigh have had a few mixed results so far this season, but still picked up some points, so it should be another good test for us.
We’ve had some good games against Denbigh over the last couple of seasons, but hopefully we come out with 3 points.
I think it’s another must win game for us. We got back think to our usual style of play last week against Ruthin after a poor game at Llandudno.
I’m confident in our group that we know what standards we have to have and keep going forward now for the rest of the season to finish where we all want to come the end of the season”
Our previous games with Denbigh have produced goals with 11 coming in both league fixtures last season. Airbus’ opening game of the JD Cymru North 24/25, was a home game against Denbigh, where they scored 7 goals enroute to recording three points. Goals that evening were scored by Danny Warren (x2), James Davies (x4) and Sam Baker.
The return fixture at Central Park, also provided goals as the WingMakers went on to win 4-0. James Davies scored three that evening, taking his tally to 7 goals against Denbigh last season. Oli Lanceley got on the score sheet that evening, where Airbus also recorder two clean sheets in them fixtures.
Friday looks set to be a good evening of football and we look forward to welcoming Denbigh Town to Hollingsworth Group Stadium
