Flint Mountain FC Preview
A home game to start the year off for the WingMakers
After a very good performance and win against Newtown on Boxing day, Airbus are looking to carry the good form into our New Year’s Day fixture as we welcome Flint Mountain to The Hollingsworth Group Stadium.
Mark Allen is looking forward to starting the year off well, “We know we have a very difficult challenge on Thursday. However, we have a had a really positive week training and want to build on the performance against Newtown. So we are certainly looking forward to it. Everyone has been sharp and certainly ready to give everything as we will all need to be at our best.
Finally, a Happy New Year for 2026 to everyone from the players, staff and myself”
In our away trip in October, Airbus come away with 3 points on the day from the home of Prestatyn Town. After a frustrating first half, Airbus come out with the purpose in the second half as Kieran Evans opened the scoring with a deflected shot from distance.
George Peers saw red on the day for frustration as he got sent off for the second bookable offence for kicking the ball away.
In the 98th minute, James Davies finished the game and secured the three points with a chipped shot to beat Garner in the Flight Mountain goal.
We are looking forward to seeing you all on New Year’s Day and on behalf of the club wishing you all the best for 2026!
