Penrhyncoch FC Preview
An early kick off awaits this weekend as we welcome Penrhyncochh to the Airfield
After a second half come back against Gresford last Friday, Airbus welcome Penryhncoch for a 1pm kick off at The Hollingsworth Group Stadium.
With 3 wins and 2 draws in their last 6 games, this has seen our visitors move themselves from the foot of the table in the JD Cymru North.
Keighan Jones is prepared for a battle on Saturday, “We are looking forward to Saturday, as a team we feel like we have our momentum back, but we can’t get carried away. We need to keep winning games to keep the pressure on the teams around us.
We know what type of team Penryhncoch are and always have been. Going back to the game at the start of the Season, where we won 1-0, they will definitely be coming to our home ground to put up a battle and a fight, which we have prepared for this week]”
Airbus’ trip to Cae Baker was a hard thought three points, as a goal from Jordan Evans gave the WingMakers the three points on the day. The deadlock was broken 8 minutes before the half time break, when Nath Williams played a ball into Jordan Evans, who then played a first-time pass rounds the corner for George Peers. Peers did well to hold the ball up and set the stand-in captain so he could finish perfectly into the bottom corner.
There was some last ditch defending on that day as Kieran Evans cleared off his line to deny the hosts an equaliser as the game headed into 90th minute.
Please note kick off is 1pm on Saturday!
