George Peers hat-trick helps Airbus to a convincing victory

Airbus produced an impressive attacking display to secure a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Flint Town United, with George Peers claiming a well-deserved hat-trick in a dominant performance.

Airbus got off to the perfect start, taking the lead after just two minutes. Kaiden Cooke did well to get the ball into the box, with Jack Flint pushing the initial effort away. The ball fell kindly to the head of Peers, and the ball bounced of Peers' head and into the back of the net.

The hosts continued to threaten and almost doubled their advantage three minutes later. Sam Rickett did well to bring the ball out and find Oli Calland, who played a delightful pass into Cooke's path. Cooke's resulting cross was just ahead of both Peers and Jake Roberts.

Airbus did not have to wait long for a second goal, however. In the 12th minute, Tyler McManus sent a cross into the area which caught the goalkeeper out, finding its way over Jack Flint and into the back of the net to make it 2-0.

Two minutes after Airbus nearly fell to the windy conditions, as a cross in from Isaac Nodi was caught in the wind and between McManus and goalkeeper Louie Fallon, they managed to deal with the danger.

Jordan Evans tested Flint from the edge of the area in the 24th minute, but his effort was straight at the goalkeeper.

Five minutes later, Airbus produced some excellent combination play as Peers, Calland and McManus linked up superbly.
McManus delivered into the box, but Flint Town managed to clear the danger behind for a corner.

The visitors created an opportunity of their own in the 39th minute when Lassana Mendes drove into the Airbus penalty area. His effort took a slight deflection before being safely gathered by Fallon.

Airbus went into the interval with a three-goal cushion after adding a third in the 44th minute. Oli Calland did brilliantly to close Jack Flint down, allowing Peers to pick up the loose ball before curling a superb finish into the bottom corner.

Half-time: Airbus 3-0 Flint Town United

Flint Town attempted to get back into the game after the restart as they started the brighter of the two teams. Kieran Evans tried his luck from distance in the 59th minute. His effort was narrowly wide of the near post.

The visitors' task became even more difficult in the 64th minute when they were reduced to ten men. Lee Jonas was shown a second yellow card for a bookable offence and was consequently sent off.

Airbus made a double substitution in the 71st minute, with Jack Parry and Mason Blackwell-Jones replacing Jake Roberts and Jordan Evans.

The hosts continued to push forward and came close again in the 73rd minute. Cooke's cross was caught by the wind, but Parry did well to direct his header towards goal, with the effort eventually falling just wide of the post.

Parry was involved again two minutes later, beating the offside trap before crossing towards Peers. The striker's effort was blocked as Airbus searched for a fourth.

Cooke was replaced by James Hughes in the 79th minute as Airbus continued to control proceedings.

The fourth goal finally arrived in the 83rd minute. Kieran Evans delivered a dangerous cross from the left and Peers reacted quickest, as he guided his header past Jack Flint to complete his hattrick.

Flint Town pulled a goal back five minutes later. A ball over the top was controlled well by Harry Dean, who kept his composure to calmly slot his finish past Fallon.

Dean almost added another in the 90th minute, but his effort from outside the box was comfortably collected by Fallon.

Airbus had the final opportunity of the evening deep into stoppage time. Parry played a superb through ball into the path of Blackwell-Jones, who was forced wide before seeing his effort go narrowly wide of the far post.

The final whistle confirmed a convincing 4-1 victory for Airbus, with Peers' hat-trick the highlight of an excellent attacking performance.
