Four changes to the starting line-up from the draw against Buckley, with Szczepaniak, Wood, Orton and J.Evans coming in for Jones, Tomassen, K.Evans and Davies.

Guilsfield found themselves 1-0 up, when a long ball down the middle caused the Airbus defence problems. Matthews found the gap and slotted the ball passed Szczepaniak.

Airbus were searching for an equaliser and they had it 10 minutes later. A lovely exchange of passes found Lindfield who played the ball into Cooke and he finished with great shot into the bottom corner past Williams.

The goal led Airbus to have a good spell of possession and managed to get control of the game.

The game finished 1-1 at the half time break.

The second half started with both teams having good spells of possession and playing some good football.

With 20 minutes left on the clock, Airbus tried to increase the tempo. Cooke caused problems for the Guilsfield defence and was unlucky not to score from a 1v1.

On 74 minutes, Lindfield brought a good save from Williams with a powerful shot that was pushed out for a corner. From the resulting corner, Palmer rose higher than everyone else but his header came crashing off the crossbar.

Cooke seemed to be a thorn in Guilsfield side and this time Cooke was fouled and a free-kick was rewarded. From the resulting free-kick, Lindfield stepped up but his effort sailed over the bar.

With 10 minutes to go, Airbus made a triple substitution with Lanceley, Rushton and Eyre returning from journey replacing Lindfield, Cooke and Collins.

It didn’t take long for the substitutions to have their impact as Lanceley picked the ball up and played the ball into Edwards, who played a perfectly timed square ball into Rushton’s path and he pokes the ball home to give Airbus the lead with 5 minutes remaining.

Three points well deserved with a controlled performance.
