On a tough afternoon for the women's team, they found themselves on the wrong end of a 11-0 scoreline.

Playing against the wind in the first half, the Wingmakers were out fought across the park, losing out in individual battles to the strength and guile of Wrexham Foresters.

Goals conceded came in quick bursts, several from impressive long range efforts, but Airbus will be disappointed in the manner of other goals where the away team were able to force their way through too easily.

Whilst it was a difficult day for the team, it was a huge learning curve with plenty to be taken from the match; eight of the finishing players were 18 or younger; three players made their senior debuts and played with a determination beyond their years.

It won't be a match to remember for the right reasons, but it will be a marker for improvement and higher expectations for the rest of the season.
