It was meant to be our home game but due to circumstances we had reverse the fixture.
It wasn’t the best surface as the grass was quite long down at Rowleys drive, which didn’t suit our passing game at all.
We only had 10 players so we were at a numerical disadvantage from the start and we had no designated keeper so we had volunteered outfield players playing in goal.
Northop Hall started on the front foot playing direct football and relying on fast sprints to the long ball which worked as the hosts capitalised on quite a few errors defensively and keeping wise.
We changed keepers at the break and swapped positions and although Northop Hall capitalised on a defensive mistake and were also awarded a dubious penalty once they went down to 10 men as they took a player off.
Airbus started to control the possession with their passing play and Seren pulled one back .
We should have had a few more as Phoebe our second half keeper hardly had a save to make.
The Airbus girls spirit was strong and they kept on trying to play right until the end.
It was good to see Alys who has been out injured come through the full game.
Player of the Match - Darra Craig
She was immense when put to left back, she had the winger in her pocket.
The 2nd half she started pushing further forward and some of her through balls were fantastic, you could see her confidence growing and growing.
