We were treated to a goal fest down at Rowley’s Drive tonight.

The game started brightly with the hosts struggling to contain the passing football of the visitors, and with a run from Phoebe who then supplied a through pass for Megan to finish after just 3 minutes, soon after the favour was returned and Phoebe finished with a great finish .

The hosts worked their way back into the game with a long ball over the top and clinically finished, But then a mix up at the back left the hosts with an equaliser.

After some great build up play by Airbus again, they forced the hosts defence to give the ball away and Evie finished well after some great pressing.

Then the hosts forced another ball over the top and finished in the corner.

With some great saves from the stand in keeper( normally a full back)
With some more great football from the visitors a through ball by Sophie which split the defence and Megan ran onto slot home. 4-3 to the visitors .

The second half continued in the same vain, with Airbus playing through the whole team and the hosts playing long balls or relying on the same players to get rewards .

It was another corner from the hosts that got them level, unfortunately no contact was made and it went straight in .

The passing from Airbus brought another goal as Ava ran onto another pass from Sophie and squared to Rhian to force home .

5-4 but the hosts 2 danger players combined to run through the defence and get an equaliser.

Although sometimes the build up play from the back worked for Airbus, when mistakes were made it invited pressure and the hosts capitalised to make it 6-5.

The visitors kept pushing for a goal back but couldn’t find it and eventually the hosts forced another long ball which the Airbus keeper didn’t read and the hosts forward ran onto and slotted home.
