Walking Football for those aged 49 & over

The Buccaneers started playing in May 2025.

Our sessions are intended to create a fun, safe & positive environment to continue playing, rekindle those dreams or start playing walking football and ensure everyone is involved.

Many players report improvements in their general health, relationships, mental health & weight loss.

They are again playing football & loving it. Some after not playing or kicking a ball in 20 plus years!

Some players simply want to play for fun, exercise and general health reasons & others wish to go further & play more competitively – that’s fine & we happily embrace & welcome all.

Most sessions end in our Clubs Café-bar, where we reminisce, exaggerate, have a drink and bite to eat together!

We have grown rapidly and now have 50 plus members, ranging from age 49 to 76.

We run mixed age group training sessions / games.

Mixed training sessions are:

Mondays 11:15am-12.15pm
Fridays 6pm-7pm

Venue: Airbus UK Broughton FC, CH4 0DR

Our age groups also play fixture (both friendly & competitive) together against other local and regional teams.

We aim to enter the North Wales Walking Football League starting in April 2026 and Competitions along the way too!

There will be 4 age groups we will be focusing on & developing for our competitive section.

These will be:

Over 50’s
Over 60’s
Over 65’s
Over 70’s
