Tyler McManus' journey from Academy Under 11s to Captain for the First Team

Tyler joined Airbus at under 11s after he left Wrexham AFC 2018/19 Season, Tyler was offered the opportunity to stay at Under 15s level instead of U16s, in order to play more minutes and develop physically. 2019/20 Season, Tyler was moved into the Under 19s 2021/22 Season, Tyler started the year at Under 19s and found himself playing for the Reserves. In this Season, he won Manager's Player for the Under 19s and Player's Player for the Reserves. 2022/23 Season, Tyler mad his first team debut in the Nathaniel MG Cup against Gresford Athletic. 2023/24 Season, Tyler scored his first senior goal against Flint Town on 20th January in the JD Cymru North. On 10th February 2024, Tyler was rewarded for all his hard work and brilliant performances with the Captain's armband against Prestatyn. Tyler on his journey, "The support I have been given at each stage of the academy was excellent, especially from Chappers who is still working with me at First Team level." Academy manager, Lee Starkey on Tyler's progress, "Tyler's hardworking attitude throughout his time at the club has resulted in regular first team football and recently being made captain for a game was just rewards for his hard work and a proud moment for our Academy." Manager Mark Allen on working with Tyler, "He is always willing to listen and take on board information from staff, he is also starting to assert himself more within the group, which is why it was important to reward that with the captaincy against Prestatyn."
