We welcome Flint Town United on Friday evening after a busy 7 days, where we have played TNS and Connah’s Quay Nomads and given a good account of ourselves.

Our visitors have struggled to get going so far this season and there last game out they suffered a 5-0 defeat to TNS who top the league at the moment.

The last meeting we had as two clubs was last season in the Welsh Cup, where Airbus travelled to Cae Y Castell in the third round. The Silkmen come out on top on that occasion as they won 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Ben Wynne.

Our two other meetings were also in cup competitions, a meeting in the WBS League Cup in 2023/24, in a thrilling game that ended 4-3 to Flint Town. Flint opened the scoring through Rhys Kavanagh before Joe Palmer equalised. The visitors then took a 3-1 lead, Sam Baker reduced the deficit before Joshua Jones made it 4-2. There was a consolation goal from Stephen Tomassen in injury time, which saw the tie end with Flint town progressing to the next round.

The WingMakers will be looking to get back to winning ways on Friday evening as they have suffered two defeats in a row against 1st and 2nd place from last season.
