We welcome Trefelin BGC to the Hollingsworth Group Stadium today after a disappointing result last week against Penybont FC away from home. The performance by the squad was brilliant as we matched Penybont for the majority of the game.

Our visitors suffered a defeat also as they lost 3-1 to current Cymru Premier League leaders TNS.

Trefelin are a fellow promoted side, who were crowned champions of the Cymru South last season winning the league by two points.

Our previous meetings with our visitors have fallen in Cup competitions. Our first meeting was in the Welsh Cup in Season 2022/23. Trefelin took the lead that day through Ceri Williams, but Airbus fought back that day with 2 goals in three minutes from Brad Knight and Jake Eyre which seen them progress.

Our most recent meeting was in the Welsh Blood Service League Cup Final in 2025 at the home of Aberystwyth Town. Airbus took the lead through George Peers after half an hour and then in the 55th minute Jordan Evans doubled Airbus’ lead.

Roan Piper pulled a goal back 4 minutes later. Nath Williams added a third goal with over an hour played to give Airbus a 3-1 lead. Trefelin did create a nervy end as they converted a penalty through Callum Saunders, but Airbus held on to secure their first piece of silverware.

Look forward to seeing you all there on Saturday!
